“Salmon Fishing in the Yemen”
Ewan McGregor is Dr Fred Jones, an uptight fisheries scientist who finds himself dragged into a wild scheme to introduce salmon fishing to the Yemen, dreamed up by a fishing-crazed sheikh (Amr Waked). Handling the project’s finances is Harriet Chetwode-Talbot (Emily Blunt).
The job involves Harriet and Fred visiting a range of picturesque locations in Scotland and the Middle East, and their relationship moves from awkward bickering to faltering romance in the time-honoured fashion.
Yes, this is a film about salmon fishing, but you certainly do not need to be interested in fishing to enjoy it.
Lots of humour encapsulating a good old-fashioned love story.
